HELLO, GROWERS! There are so many reasons to be excited about 2027 at Darwin Perennials! For starters, we’re making a bold move further into the ornamental grass category and taking our very first step into daylilies — a milestone moment for our assortment. These launches are especially meaningful to me personally, as much of my career was spent on the landscape side of the industry. With new categories come new opportunities. Our NEW grasses and daylilies are both available as bare root, which is a new product form to Darwin. This opens doors for our product development team for future intros.

At Darwin Colombia, we continue to focus on producing the highest-quality unrooted perennial inputs. We are increasing our emphasis on best practices in harvesting, scouting and sanitation, and adjusting as more effective practices come to our attention. For a look behind the scenes of the life of an unrooted perennial cutting, check this out!

Darwin also offers unique and high-performing varieties from tissue culture. Some recent favorites include Rudbeckia Suntacular, Echinacea Sombrero ® Fuchsia Fandango and Geranium Purple Glow. These varieties all shine just as brightly on a retail bench as they do in the landscape year after year. Finally, don’t forget that your input and feedback greatly influence our breeding direction, production methods and customer support structure, so let us know what you think. Thank you for your business and support.

Sincerely,

ICONS
